Welcome to the Certified Application Assistant and Certified Plan Staff Training Website!
This site is dedicated to helping California’s Enrollment Entities (EEs) and Certified Application Assistants (CAAs), HFP Plans and Certified Plan Staff assist families complete the application for Healthy Families Program and Medi-Cal for Families.
To utilize the training site you must be linked to an active EE with a CAA Add/Remove Form and a CAA Agreement on file with the Healthy Families Program. This NEW and easy-too-use web based training program offers three separate courses, the CAA Certification Course, the Plan Staff Certification Course and the Refresher Course. All three courses are available in English and Spanish.
Upon completion of the CAA Certification Course or Plan Staff Certification you will be assigned a CAA number.
The Refresher Course is designed to aid existing CAAs and Certified Plan Staff with Healthy Families Programs and Medi-Cal for Families application assistance. The Refresher Course will be available to existing CAAs and Certified Plan Staff by the 15th of the month following your successful completion of the Certification Exam. This course may be visited as often as you wish. By completing the training courses, you will be able to help children and pregnant women apply for these programs.
Once you become certified as a CAA or a Certified Plan Staff, you will be helping families in your community access affordable health, dental, and vision coverage.
